CHRIS BUESCHER

Buescher, a former developmental driver for Jack Roush and now seven-year Cup veteran, returns to pilot the No. 17 Ford Mustang for his fourth NCS season with RFK.

Buescher, 30, experienced a bevy of superlatives in the 2022 campaign: most top-10s in a single season (10), most laps led (194), most top five finishes (3) and best average starting position (15.8). It was highlighted by his victory at the Bristol Night Race in the fall, a race where RFK led a combined 278 laps and Buescher led 169 of his own in what was his 250th career Cup start.

Buescher and his wife Emma married on Easter weekend in 2018. They welcomed their first child, a girl, Charley, in December of 2022. Together they are avid animal lovers and have three rescue dogs – Cooper, Addie and Dozer – and also have one rescue cat, Baden. Buescher is a lover of the outdoors and enjoys riding ATVs both during the season on the road and in the offseason. He also enjoys spending time working around the farm, tending to various vehicle projects, and maintaining the land he and Emma continue to build upon.
